What is this?
Members are invited to the first Voter Services Committee meeting of 2024. It will be on Sunday, January 28 at 3:30 in the Sunset Foods Meeting Room (Waukegan Road Store in Lake Forest). Take the elevator at the main entrance to the second floor, go to your left and down the hall. The door is on the left.
Our agenda will mainly consist of Get Out The Vote (GOTV) ideas for the March 19 primary and beyond. Here is the League's GOTV website which hasn't been updated but the strategies mentioned are still valid.
https://www.lwv.org/sites/default/files/2019-08/Get%20Out%20the%20Vote%20Toolkit.LWVEF_.2019.pdf
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit the League can only engage in nonpartisan GOTV efforts. This means that a nonprofit organization can conduct a GOTV campaign as long as it aims to educate its audience and not promote a candidate or party.
Please bring all ideas - they will be most welcome!
